Uma Woven Basket

This natural woven basket features equal parts moshi and fern green.

Hand woven from locally sisal grass by women in a small weaving group in rural Kenya, this basket makes for brilliant home storage and can be used as a desk tidy, planter or for knitting, crafting, toys, muslins or toiletries.

The craftswomen behind the Uma basket have learned the meticulous art weaving from their mothers and grandmothers, and work within a thriving cooperative which is growing in numbers continually.
