This exquisite Nana hand woven floor basket has been produced in Ghana by a weaving cooperative. This colourful basket is made from robust veta vera grass – an indigenous raw material that’s sustainably sourced and perfect for producing durable baskets.

Most of the artisans who make these baskets are farmers first and foremost, but drought makes it increasingly difficult to live off the land. Basket weaving gives them the opportunity to earn a flexible second income.
