Huru Woven Storage Baskets

Featuring an earthy, geometric band of baked tile and sand, the Huru baskets are ideal for storing all manner of knick-knacks, thingamajigs and doodads.

They also make excellent woven planters for your houseplants and will bring surprise and joy as new home gifts.

The craftswomen behind our Huru natural woven baskets all learned to weave sisal from their mothers and grandmothers, and work within a small weaving collective in rural Kenya.

Basket production takes place primarily during the dry seasons, since most of these weavers are from farming communities who rely on farming (and rainfall) to feed, support and clothe their families.
